Healthcare Compliance Veteran Joins youCompli

COMPLIANCE VETERAN JOHN STEINER JOINS youCompli AS A SPECIAL ADVISOR

Pittsburgh-based solutions provider focusing on healthcare regulations

Pittsburgh, September 26, 2016 – John Steiner, Esq., CHC, a former chief compliance officer for Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Cleveland Clinic Health System and UK HealthCare of the University of Kentucky, and a noted author and speaker on health law and compliance topics, is now counseling youCompli, a provider of a compliance software platform for clients in the healthcare sectors. In that capacity, Mr. Steiner is helping to ensure that youCompli’s customized software is fit-for-purpose on a client-by-client basis.  He is also using the company’s blog to offer compliance-related insights.

“I am pleased that John has chosen to join our team,” says Jerry Shafran, a serial technology entrepreneur who founded youCompli after selling Compliance Assurance Corporation last year to North Carolina-based Reged. “His experience and knowledge can help healthcare providers perform compliance-related activities more efficiently than ever. As healthcare providers operate under tremendous pressure to reduce their administrative costs, regulatory compliance is often an area where this pressure is most intense, and John’s experience can be invaluable to academic and for-profit healthcare organizations alike.”

Earlier in his career, Mr. Steiner served as Senior Counsel for the American Hospital Association, where he advocated on behalf of  the organization’s 5,000 member hospitals. He earned his J.D., with honors, from the Chicago-Kent College of Law of the Illinois Institute of Technology and holds a B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University.
