Western Maryland Health System (WMHS) is a small integrated health system, whose 2,300 employees provide healthcare services for residents in Allegany and Garrett Counties in Maryland and surrounding counties in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
WMHS provides a wide range of healthcare services, but has a small compliance function. This means that, while they are subject to a great number of different regulators, they were challenged to manage each one effectively.
